::Bioculture:: The people of Dorje Bala are Tibetan.

::Totem:: Tibetans made their Covenant with the tou lung crocodile.

::Religion:: The priests of the tradition of Bon Geomancy have investigated and mapped the Esoteric as it overlays and ingresses into the Exoteric. They can determine the way that energy flows through physical features, and are particularly knowledgable of the demons that are associated with the various land formations about Dorje Bala.

::Government:: Dorje Bala is an expansionist power. The leaders are a triumvirate of barons from the highest noble houses in the state. They rely on priests for advice and to staff fortresses with demons. In return, the priests enjoy abundant wealth. The barons of Dorje Bala came to power about a century and a half ago.

::Gender:: Dorje Bala is a patrifocal society. There are revered nuns, but all of the positions of importance are held by men.

::Guilds:: The guilds are fairly independent of the government, and enjoy trade relations with all of Dorje Balas neighbors, extending all the way into Austro-Scandinavia. Little effort goes into developing new plastics. However, the guilds do have a monopoly on one significant process: androgynesis. This is the technique by which Thrall are created. Thrall are sent into war as soldiers or shipped to Austro-Scandinavia.

::Military:: The military power of Dorje Bala rests in its armies of Thrall and Demons. Ro-Lang Gap in the west is the scene of brutal tank warfare between Dorje Bala and the Sarai Khanate. Currently the Sarai Khanate has the edge. There are constant border skirmishes between Dorje Bala and the Yezidi Empire. Dorje Bala uses Thrall for offense and Demons for defense. A Thrall army will enter enemy territory and kill all the people there. Priests will then enter the territory and locate a suitable hill or lake from which a Demon can be raised. Once the Demon is summoned and put on task the Thrall army will continue on into enemy territory, leaving the Demon to protect against any counter-invasion.

::Shashi:: Shashi are kept as slaves. Those who are mature are harvested for mana as needed.

::Geography:: Dorje Bala runs from the Himalayas in the west and the south to the steppes in the north and to where the deserts of Subasia give way in the east.
