In 1611, the intelligence division of the Australian Hypermonarch, members of the Insect Nation, discovered that the Empire of the Inca was planning to invade in an
attempt to regain lost territory. A trio of military shamans was tasked
with defending the continent. Unfortunately, through the use of one of the longest Esotarcanic Equations ever produced, they constructed a shield
that severed the continent from the global songlines. In addition to the shield's preventing any physical object from entering the mainland, there was an implosive force that destroyed all life on the Australian continent.
The shield finally disintegrated in the 1900's. Any foreigners attempting to land on the Australian mainland have to
fight their way past tenacious offshore armies of Hive soldiers. All
living things that arrive on the Australian mainland soon wither and
die.
