::Bioculture::	The Aztec are descended from a small tribe that lived in the shadow of their Mayan neighbors.
::Totem::	The people that the Aztecs are descended from had made their Covenant with the hummingbird.
::Religion::	Heliotheism originated among the Aztec and spread around the world from there. The Emperor is descended from the Sun God, around whom are gathered a rich pantheon of gods. Human sacrifice occurs continually in an attempt to solicit the attention of the gods.
::Government::	The Empire is ruled by a shifting group of noble families all scheming amongst themselves. The Emperor is more important as a religious entity; as the head of state he is an impassive island giving his blessing to whichever family has for the time ingratiated itself with him. The capital is at Oacaxa.
::Gender::	The Aztec are patrifocal. Women suffer discrimination but are allowed into the highest echelons of power.
::Guilds::	The Aztec guilds mostly trade only with their fellow Americans. Medicine is highly advanced in the Empire. Surgical millipedes can enter a wounded body, mitigate trauma, and restore flesh, bone, and organs.
::Military::	The Aztec are openly hostile towards the Pueblo to the north, and constantly seek to expand their territory farther into the Seeded Grounds.
::Shashi::	During WWII the shashi were put into concentration camps. After the war, the camps were kept operational and turned into factory farms.
::Geography::	The Aztec Empire extends north to encompass the coastal mountains, and south to the tropical jungles of Xam Balam.
