Gigamot

::Gigamot::
::General::
::Description::
Gigamot are divided into two categories: Non-cog and Cog. Non-cog are not capable of acting on their own; they are breathing plastics, with spinal columns and full motor capabilities, but they lack brains, and require human interaction through a NID in order to function. Feeding of Non-cogs is done with Ingestors. Cogs are fully capable of functioning on their own, but possess the ability to form a symbiotic relationship with a human rider. Due to the obvious dangers of Gigamots able to act of their own free-will, production was outlawed after the first World War. Those that still exist are ancient models, but still quite formidable, and much more effective than the most modern Non-cog. Gigamot lifespans are so far indeterminate; they tend to die in accidents and combat before dying of old age. As long as they are well maintained, theory holds that they may last three hundred to five hundred years. The oldest living Gigamot is 102 years old.
