Concept
Everything we use in our world is grown or born. This is all we can conceive of when the term "construction" is used. There is no ability to combine seperate items to produce anything of an immediate nature; we must wait for any new invention to grow or be born, and this normally takes the course of a few months to a year, as selective breeding necessitates. However, once "final synthesis" has been achieved, mass production can easily begin apace. Inception Engineering of particular items is done through crossbreeding, genetic selection, and subtle manipulation of the genetic coding through the Mandala. Given access to the Mandala, there is no limit to what can be combined and produced; plants may be bred with animals, animals with animals of different species, bacteria and microscopic organisms with genetic material from plants or animals, or any other combination or amalgamation. ExperiCalxion was the key to early formulation of Plastic standards, but as our understanding of the genetic code has grown, we have been able to anticipate and even create the resulting "final synthesis". History Before the intervention of the Devas and the Passions, there was very little of immediate availability that could be used for anything other than nourishment. Early humans had to fashion useful items through hours and days of intensive labor. This pre-industry "construction" was quickly supplanted by our modern construction industry. With the introduction of crossbreeding and genetic manipulation we have been able to achieve a level of machine complexity that no rock-tied-to-a-stick culture ever could. No record exists of the very first Plastic, or even if it was grown or born, but one thing is certain: it was of such an immediate use, and capable of outperforming the pre-industry manual constructions by such a wide margin, that genetic refinement quickly became the standard, relegating our pre-industry ancestors to a distant and small corner of history.

::Inanimate:: ::"Type":: |
Inanimate Plastics are those that come from the dead, or those that exist within the plant kingdom. These include those that originate from/as plants, whether or not they remain "alive" by flora standards (i.e. whether or not they have been removed from the ground and "dried up"), as well as those that are taken from the carcasses of fauna, such as the flesh of the Shashi.

::Breathing:: ::"Type":: |
Breathing Plastics are those that retain life, and are not within the flora kingdom. Some include the Shashi within this category, although only specialized Shashi are listed in the Equipment List.
